Handling of personal information

The Maruzen Group (hereinafter referred to as “Group”) shall respect and comply with laws and regulations as concerns the Personal Information Protection Act and social order and endeavor to engage in the proper handling of and protect and manage personal information concerning clients in accordance with the following points:

Where personal information from clients is to be collected, collection shall take place to the extent necessary upon communicating the purpose of collection to clients.

Personal information constitutes information concerning individual users and includes names, dates of birth, and other written details that can be used to identify individual users.

Personal information entrusted to us shall be used within the scope of the purpose of collection and subject to strict management. Such information may not be disclosed or provided to third parties without the consent of customers unless special circumstances apply.

Where the Company outsources the processing of personal information to an outside party, proper management shall be carried out by mandating that such information not be leaked or re-provided to other parties.

Verifying and correcting posted information

Where a client wishes to have his or her own personal information verified and corrected, the client should contact us according to the following contact particulars and can expect us to respond promptly within reasonable limits.

Complying with relevant laws and norms

Any laws or norms that apply in connection with personal information held by the Group shall be properly observed and all efforts and protective actions as set forth in the above provisions shall be continuously maintained and improved.
