Maruzen Ironworks, a boilermaker company and predecessor to today’s Maruzen Co., Ltd., established a factory in the Keiyo district of Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture in 1963.
Then in 1967, Maruzen Ironworks was reborn as Maruzen Co., Ltd., a company that utilizes its location to provide comprehensive logistical support for chemical handling.

Ichikawa Complex, which opened as a logistics center in what was previously a boiler factory, faces both Tokyo Bay and the Keiyo and Keihin industrial complex areas and is also connected to what was the main arterial highway for the Tokyo area.
In addition, with the aim of further improving mobility and customer service, Kashiwa Complex No. 1 and No. 2 will play a vital logistical role as transfer points for both air and land transport of liquid chemical products.
