Profile会社概要
However, having realized that logistics constitutes the business that would most ideally harness the benefits inherent in a site that faces Tokyo Bay and that lies halfway between the Keiyo and Keihin regions, we set up the Keiyo Oil Terminal in 1967. The name of our company was changed to Maruzen Co., Ltd., to reflect a shift in our focus to a different type of business.
The Maruzen Group has taken advantage of its know-how as a former boiler manufacturer to provide a commercial tank yard comprising a one-tank/one-line system with all of its tanks built to all-stainless steel specifications. We are highly regarded by many chemical manufacturers and trading firms for the exceptional quality and safety of our services.
In order to meet the needs of an era of significant changes, our stationary sites for tank lorries carrying hazardous materials was overhauled to accommodate ISO tank containers in 1996, fifty-ton truck scale measuring instruments were installed in 2000, and the establishment of general handling sites and the undertaking of capital investments to accommodate ISO tank containers designed to enable special work on hazardous materials to be performed (including work that involves transferring hazardous materials out of drums, transferring liquids, filling containers, dividing materials into smaller portions, and heating) were proactively carried out in 2004. We also obtained ISO 9002 international standard certification for quality-assurance systems in 1996 and ISO 9001 certification for quality-assurance management systems in 2003. We continue to endeavor to thoroughly implement and enhance our quality-management system.
The Maruzen Group will continue to operate as an integrated, comprehensive logistics company for chemical products with the aim of maintaining high standards of quality, providing high value-added services and products, and promoting an accident-free workplace.
