Having been one of the first to recognize that we will play a significant role in both the exporting and importing of ISO tank containers, as well as in the area of bulk overland domestic shipments, we completely overhauled our stationary site for tank trucks in our yard for organic hazardous materials in 1996 and our stationary site for tank trucks in our yard for inorganic nonhazardous materials in 2001. All thirteen lanes can accommodate ISO tank containers. In addition, we harnessed our expertise on oil terminals as cultivated over many years to allow us to accommodate various types of containers, including JR containers and flexible containers.

Mass flowmeters to keep inconsistences in terms of volume shipped in check

A mass flowmeter installed at a stationary site for containers ensures the accuracy of the weight of shipped materials. For this reason, we adopted mass flowmeters to set shipped quantities not by capacity but by weight. This will enable inconsistencies in terms of volume shipped caused by seasonal temperature variations to be kept in check.
